Garden Dwellings’ division of “In The Attic, Inc” is a re-seller of new items, but also the designer and manufacturer of custom, and reclaimed, premium large-scale model railroad paraphernalia, 1:24+/- dioramas, dwellings,’ terrariums (org. invented in 1827) and accessories for use indoors or outdoors in the garden (they are designed to stay outside all year around however, remember nothing is completely “weatherproof”).
Customers from around the globe have enjoyed our handcrafted, vintage, re-purposed and found products, which are restored, designed and/or created in our studio workshop located in northern Illinois, U.S.A.
After our mixed-media garden landscape structures have been built and fashioned out of concrete, cement board, EPS foam, foamboard, glass, natural materials, painted, polymer clay and/or wood as necessitated, we finish the entire piece with a weather-proof coating.
Garden Dwellings’ specializes in custom, mosaics working in partnership with our clients to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art, to commemorate special people, or occasions. Celebrating weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, furry companions’ or family with a commemorative plaque, works of art, or signs; giving our client the opportunities to create a lasting acknowledgment. Our functional pieces might consist of a storefront sign, house numbers, frames, birdbaths, benches, fireplace mantles, fire-pit frames or family crest plaques for the front door or even a back-splash the your kitchen or bath the options are endless.
Garden Dwelling custom pieces can be completed ready to hang or place in the garden; or we can send them attached to substrate or on fiberglass netting. If in our area our staff will happily install, we can also ship ready for your contractors to install when the time is right.
