About: William (Bill) P. Kelly
Bill learned his trade by tinkering on his own bike as a child and starting at the age of 15 at the local bicycle shop in Wilmette, Illinois there he worked his way through college earning a degree in business. At present he has been in the bicycle business for over 40+ years. He has worked for large corporate companies such as Raleigh; but, always yearned to return to his wrench because he missed the personal hands-on contact with the public, while the boy inside this professional man missed the bicycle grease and tools.
Bill managed a family run bicycle and sporting goods company in Winnetka, Illinois for over 20 years and now continues to where he first began turning a wrench back in Wilmette. He truly has a love for the bicycle business and helping and meeting people’s bicycling needs. He has the old fashion shop keeper’s attitude, principles, and ethics and is willing to take the time with his customers no matter how small the job or request. The service and safety of his customers and their children always comes first.
Bill also has a philanthropic side helping others through his volunteering with such groups as Boy Scouts of America from teaching these young men how to care for their bicycles to joining them on trips to Wisconsin, Colorado, and Alaska. He also has run numerous “Bike Safety Rallies” for local Police and Schools.
Please contact Bill if you are interested in having a Safety Rallie for your Organization, or Group.
